Patient is a 30 year old female, who is currently undergoing our therapy for Neuromyelitis optica (NMO).
She was diagnosed as neuromyelitis optica (NMO) in Feb 2015. She was previously diagnosed as Transverse Myelitis (TM) in 2008 and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2011.
When she approached, it was few days after the NMO attack. She was paralyzed below the neck in five days, and she was choking for breath. Dr.Raghavan advised modern medicine treatment for 2 weeks just to bring her out of emergency condition. She was discharged from hospital after 2 weeks. We started full-fledged Ayurveda therapy at home for the patient on Mar 2015. Dr. Raghavan slowly tapered-off the modern drugs and replaced it with Ayurveda medicines. Patient started home-based Ayurveda procedures (Nasyam and Pichu) with highly potentiated Ayurveda oil specially formulated for her and Ayurveda oral medications.
As on Aug 2015, patient has no relapse, and all her symptoms have improved. She is clinically stable. She can walk, run, climb stairs, and handle all household chores independently. There is verifiable effect on controlling her disease progress.
She was independently evaluated by a neurologist and the document is available. This is same neurologist who treated her in emergency condition, and followed-up her condition, but he was completely unaware of her Ayurvedic treatment.
