Dr.Raghavan Ramankutty is an Ayurvedic physician with the Vaidyaratnam (jewel among physicians) title. He is also a modern medicine doctor from India. He practices as an Ayurvedic physician for almost five decades, and focusses on chronic and critical disorders without established cure in any system of medicine. He is the founder owner of DathathreyaTM Health Institutions, which has offices in Kerala, India and Podgorica, Montenegro.- Education

Dr.Raghavan studied Ayurveda in the traditional Indian Gurukula system from the age of 9, for a period of 14.5 years. His education included classical learning of Vedas and six branches of Indian philosophy at Dathathreya heritage and Kailas Ashram in Rishikesh, and Yoga under some rare seers. He learnt Ayurvedic medicine from his Guru Swami Dathathreya. He was trained in Dathathreya heritage’s unique and guarded tools and techniques like Ayurvedic pulse examination, Ayurvedic physiotherapy techniques such as Marma Sandwanam, and Ayurvedic pharmacy. His training involved field research in 44 countries, and tutelage under 312 Ayurvedic physcians across India. Under the supervision of his Guru, he conducted the safe delivery of a baby boy in Assam at the age of 13. He was conferred the title of Vaidyaratnam (Jewel among Ayurvedic physicians) at the age of 24 by Dathathreya heritage.
After completion of his Ayurvedic education, he pursued Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from St.Alberts College, India and secured University First Rank. Later, he studied modern medicine (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, MBBS) degree from the Government Medical College Kottayam, Kerala, India.
His patriotic and academic inclinations led him to pursue Master of Art (Gandhian studies) at Madurai Kamaraj College, India, Bachelor of Law (LLB) at Cochin University of Science and Technology, India, Post graduate Diploma in Diebetology at Annamalai University, India, and Diploma in Accupuncture.
Upon completion of Ayurvedic education, as per the mandate of his Guru, he practiced Ayurvedic medicine without receiving any monetary benefit for 12 years. He has 47 years of experience as an Ayurvedic physician and he has successfully managed critical and chronic patients without effective cure in modern medicine by applying Ayurvedic medicine. This includes neurological diseases like preventive & terminal management of malignancies, aplastic anemia, goitre, mental retardation, multiple sclerosis, optic neuritis, nerve deafness, cardiomyopathy, COPD, IBS, rheumatoid arthritis, micro and macro vascular diabetic complications, irritable-bowel syndrome, post-traumatic neurological conditions, varieties of chronic vascular headaches, non-healing ulcer, infertility, and other genetic and rare diseases.
He also worked for two years as Senior Resident at the Government Medical College Hospital Kottayam, Kerala, India.
He has Ayurvedic clinical experience in India, USA, UK, Germany, UAE, Sweden, Montenegro and Serbia.
He is a member of the Medical Council of India (MCI), Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO), European Ayurveda Medical Association (EURAMA), National Ayurveda Medical Association (NAMA) in the USA, and the British Association of Accredited Ayurvedic Practitioners (BAAAP).
He is associated with several universities as visiting lecturer, and has given key note addresses in varied national & international conferences and public forums.

He is the eldest son of Late Ramankutty, a man of principles and Late Tangavadivu (alias Ponnamma), a strict disciplinarian externally but a sweet loving mother internally. His parents influenced his life – his father by doting on him, taught him to love the entire humanity as his very own and his mother fuelled in him the fire to protect and seek justice under all extremities.
He has six children, four of his children (Dr.Geeta Sundar, Dr.Prashant Raghavan, Dr.Pradeep Raghavan and Dr. Prabodh Raghavan) are Ayurveda doctors, his first son (Dr.Shyam Prasad Raghavan) is a modern medicine doctor, and his youngest son (Partheshwaran Raghavan) is a Marine Engineer.
He currently lives with his second wife Mrs. Sarada Raghavan.
